What we do?

Self Employed & Sole Trader

Self employed

(A person is self-employed if they run their business for themselves and take responsibility for its success or failure. Self-employed workers are not paid through PAYE, and they do not have the employment rights and responsibilities of employees.)

Sole trader

(If you’re a sole trader, you run your own business as an individual and are self-employed. You can keep all your business’s profits after you’ve paid tax on them. You’re personally responsible for any losses your business makes. You must also follow certain rules on running and naming your business.)

Limited companies

(What is a limited company? A limited company is a type of legal structure for your business. Limited companies: have a legal identity separate to that of its directors and shareholders (unlike sole traders) are therefore able to take on more risk than sole traders, who are personally liable for business debts that build up when things go wrong but setting up a limited company does come with added paperwork and responsibilities, making them time-consuming to run Here we look at how to set up a limited company, along with a limited company’s benefits and cost)

Partnerships

In a partnership, you and your partner (or partners) personally share responsibility for your business. This includes: any losses your business makes bills for things you buy for your business, like stock or equipment Partners share the business’s profits, and each partner pays tax on their share. A partner does not have to be an actual person. For example, a limited company counts as a ‘legal person’ and can also be a partner.)
